Roz has been with the college for over 13 years, starting as a student completing the 1st BA Honours Degree at Telford College for Dance in 2002. She continued at the college as a member of the teaching team after her studies running its Youth Dance Company ‘Stomping Ground’ as well as across the board on their full and part time courses. During this time she took a short sabbatical to continue her training in New York at Broadway Dance Centre under the guidance of Frank Hatchett (World Jazz congress) and New Dance Amsterdam with Lynne Simonson, upon her return she continued to teach at the college until 2006.
She has had a successful career in the Commercial, Educational and creative dance industry, working in some of the most prestigious training facilities and dance houses in the UK. . Roz has worked extensively with Sadler's Wells working on Jam Free after winning the Blueprint Bursary 2009 and their Aspire Programme for young Dancers. She was a sponsored athlete with Nike Woman UK as part of their all-female freestyle crew D-Clash and featured on So You Think You Can Dance, Season 1 getting to the top 14 girls. Roz had the pleasure of working with BBC Education as a dance consultant for Aleesha’s Street Dance Stars on CBBC, she worked for Youth Dance England as one of eight School Dance Coordinators throughout the country, working as part of a government initiative to push high quality dance in education and as a mentor on Young Creative at The Royal Opera House.
Roz returned to Scotland and back to her roots as part of the dance team at PASS in 2012 were she is enjoying teaching the next generation of dance leaders. She is currently studying for her Postgraduate Teaching Qualification in Further Education.
