Lauren Worth received her early training at City Ballet School with Steven and Betsey Wistrich and Balanchine principal Jillana. She received additional training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy at Vail, School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School and Washington School of the Ballet.
Lauren graduated as a merit scholarship student from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 1996 and joined Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, as their youngest member, becoming a principal in 1998. She was recognized with the Princess Grace Award in 1999 and has performed widely in the United States, throughout Europe and participated in residencies at White Oak and Jacob’s Pillow.
In addition to her time with LINES, she has worked with Alvin Ailey, San Francisco Ballet, Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Ballet, Aretha Franklin and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Lauren has taught at Dance Base since 2008 and joined PASS in 2012. She became Scotland’s first American Ballet Theatre® Certified Teacher in 2014.
