Our annual end of year production 'Cross Currents' is back for 2017!
Dance students and staff from Performing Arts Studio Scotland are delighted to welcome you to enjoy an evening of dance on Friday 16th June 2017 at The King's Theatre, Edinburgh. This years Cross Currents was dedicated to 'Legends', we took inspiration from legends in dance, music, theatre, movies and much more.
Cross Currents 2017 features a unique choreographic collaboration, creating work which fully integrates the experience and expertise of staff with the passion, energy and creativity of our student body. Encompassing our broad range of students from foundation to degree level, this performance showcases their diversity, highlighting the variety of dance and disciplines that we offer at PASS.
Past Cross Currents Shows:

Payed homage to the Tony Awards which celebrated its 70th Anniversary. The show highlighted and recognised the achievement in live Broadway Theatre.
Cross Currents 2015
Took inspiration from the Second World War as it celebrated the 70th Anniversary of VE Day. Each piece of work focused on a different aspect of WW2 taking us through an emotional journey of six years of life stories.
Cross Currents 2014
Took inspiration from current affairs and global events over the last two years, looking at both the exciting and the devastating, and how these have influenced and affected the world, arts culture and us as creative artists.
Cross Currents 2013
This year’s performance highlights an exciting change to the traditional Cross Currents format. Working in our first collaboration with Music and Sound students from across the Creative Arts departments of Edinburgh College and featuring Clanadonia with their blend of tribal rhythms, bagpipes and tartan clad mayhem, we invited you to experience a work inspired by the rugged beauty of Scotland and the Scots.
Cross Currents 2012
In 2012, we took great inspiration from the Olympics as we awaited to spend the summer watching our Olympians fight for gold in London. We payed homage and celebrated the grit and determination of the greatest atheletes and explored the various amount disciplines contained within the Olympics.
